HR Consulting

·Advice and guidance on human resources and legal issues to a client contemplating the merger/acquisition of a competitor.
·Outsourced HR services to an emerging energy company operating in international environments.
·Retained by new UK company to establish employment documentation and employee benefit programmes.
·Advising upon human resources issues and designing an innovative severance programme, in partnership with a local authority, for a joint venture located in one of the southern republics of the Former Soviet Union.
·Advising a foreign company, upon its entry into the United Kingdom, of the necessary remuneration and employee benefit programmes to be introduced for its new recruits.
·Retained as outsourced HR advisor by energy company to guide management on "people" issues.

Policies and Procedures
·Formulation and design, in preparation for Board approval, Human Resources polices and procedures for an international group. Assignment included training of senior management to ensure uniformity of application.
·Retained to update employment policies and practices to ensure compliance with employment law

Employee Handbooks
Design and implementation of employee handbooks, as an effective means of communication of employee benefits and conditions.
Revision of employee handbooks owing to changes in employment legislation.

Career Counselling
·Following an acquisition was invited to undertake a career counselling and outplacement programme for the displaced Managing Director. The four month programme resulted in the client being invited to lead a new company's entry into the UK market.
·During an acquisition was asked to design a group outplacement and counselling programme for those personnel likely to be severed following the completion of the acquisition.

Assessment Centre Programme
·A client uses assessment centres as its main selection tool, following an interview programme, for all supervisory and management recruitment. Was asked to design and manage an assessment centre programme to cover the selection of human resources managers. Programme was successfully designed and implemented and included group exercise, role play, structured interviews, prioritisation exercise and psychometric profile.
